The personal well-being is easily influenced by the financial status of the individual. Though, money is not the primary source of happiness, however, it do influence the life of the individual. It is generally found that the financially weak individuals tend to remain unhappy. The age is also related happiness.

Aged people are found to be happier as compared to young individuals, provided they are not suffering from age-related disorders or money problems. This happen because the aged people get satisfied with whatever they have achieved in their life time and consider themselves to be experienced. It has also been shown that married people are happier as compared to the unmarried individuals and have less desire to control other’s lives and have a subjective well-being.

The happiness, in turn increases the longevity of the individuals. People who are discriminated, based on their skin color, community and sex are considered to be less happy than the other individuals. Following factors could be helpful in influencing my happiness:

1. Finding the meaning of my existence: Every individual is eager to know the reason for his/ her existence. If I get to know, why even I exist on earth, besides just exhaling carbon dioxide (that is of course useful to the plants), my level of happiness would be escalated and I would put each step in achieving that goal.

2. Good grades: Studious people are always hungry for good grades. Though, good grades are not the proof of the level of intellect in the individual, however, they provide satisfaction and happiness to the students.

3. Strong financial status: Happiness could not be bought by money; however, every object is bought through money itself. Hence, a strong financial status would make me independent; hence, increasing my happiness.

4. Keeping my parents happy: Parents are an important part of my life. They influence each and every decision; hence, keeping them happy would secure mu future.

5. Singing and dancing: The extra-curricular activities always refresh the brain. They are an important part of our life and help in enhancing the personality. Dancing also helps in reducing a few calories.

6. Keeping a pet: I believe that pets are the strong stress-bursters and hence, would help to keep me healthy.

7. Charity: giving a share of my salary or pocket- money to the needy money would increase the level of my happiness.
