No. The frustrating thing about science is that hypothesis can be shown to be false but never true. That’s because we cannot possibly test the hypothesis in every possible situation to see if it holds true. Therefore, when scientists get test results that agree with their hypothesis they often repeat the experiment to ensure that the test was performed correctly. The more tests that validate the hypothesis the more evidence support the hypothesis and more confidence is given to the idea. Instead of saying the hypothesis is proven true; scientists say that the hypothesis is supported by the data. Evidence can only support a hypothesis; it can never prove it true.
