Scientists perform experiments, collect data and put forth their suggestions. It is the society that has to understand the need for implementing the suggestions put forth by the scientists.
Even a small event in our daily life can be greatly influenced by the scientific research. A group of researchers can study the number of road accidents occurring per annum in a particular city. They can identify the number of accident cases occurred due to not wearing the seat belts by the driver and passengers. Severity of such cases could also be studied and based on the statistics and evidences a hypothesis could be generated. If the results obtained does not tally with the pre existing society rules, then new suggestions could be presented to the citizens and the government officials.
