During the protein synthesis, the genetic code in the DNA is transcribed into mRNA, this process is known as “transcription.” The mRNA is translated by the rough endoplasmic reticulum and the polypeptide chains are send to the Golgi apparatus.
The Golgi apparatus sorts the modified poly peptide molecules and packages into new transport vesicles, which reach their particular destinations. The glycoproteins are packaged in the bits of outer layer of Golgi membrane. The polypeptides may be exported from the cell by microtubules.
Thus, the blanks can be filled with rough endoplasmic reticulum; Golgi apparatus; microtubules.
