One of the method of pharmacological method of classification of receptors is referred as Schild plot. The determination of dose-effect curve is done by taking various concentrations in the antagonists in to account. The graph comprises of the plot of dose of agonist and the negative log B.
The values for normorphine and naloxone are tabulated as follows:
Agonist concentration (mol/l) | Dose ratio |
6 | 2.7 |
7 | 1.7 |
8.5 | 0.95 |
The graph would be plotted as follows:
Figure: Schild plot for normorphine and naloxone
The values for metkephamid and naloxone are tabulated as follows:
Agonist concentration (mol/l) | Dose ratio |
6.5 | 1.2 |
7 | 0.7 |
7.5 | 0.1 |
The graph would be plotted as follows:

The values for met-enkephalin and naloxone are tabulated as follows:
Agonist concentration (mol/l) | Dose ratio |
6.5 | 0.4 |
7 | 0.5 |
7.5 | 0.04 |
The graph would be plotted as follows:
