Analysis of a microstrip line with and without fringing.
Write a MATLAB program that computes and plots the characteristic impedance of a microstrip line [Fig.2.9(e)] with and without taking fringing effects into account, for 1 ≤ w/h ≤ 100. The program also finds the minimum w/h for which the relative error in computing Z0 neglecting fringing, with respect to the solution with fringing, is smaller than 5%, displays it in the Command Window, and marks it on the plot. Input data are: εr = 4 and h = 1 mm. (ME9 19.m on IR)
