Answer #1

Answer :

Prezygotic or premating isolating mechanisms are those that prevent contact between the species when they are reproductively active or which prevent the union of gametes after mating. It may be caused because of the following reasons such as habitat isolations (Ecological isolation), seasonal isolation (temporal isolation), Ethological or behavioural isolation and mechanical isolation.

Post zygotic isolation mechanisms are those which prevent the growth of hybrid individuals after fertilisation has occurred or which reduce the fertility or viability of the F1 hybrids. They are caused by the following methods such as, gametic mortality, zygotic mortality, hybrid inviability, F2 breakdown etc.,

Pre-zygotic Pre-zygotic Habitat Isolation Temporal isolation Behavioral isolation * Mechanical isolation Gametic isolation *
