In your response include discussion about pros (at least 3) and cons (at least 3) of using a PHR. Consider the shifting demographics and discuss whether you think older adults (65+ years old) are receptive to using PHRs and social media and why (support your stance with scholarly evidence). Offcourse it's a very good implementation in making healthcare system more digitalized and accessible to the general public . Like every initiative it would have certain difficulties in the beginning that will get smooth as the time pass and usage increases . Theses difficulties I mean the cons related to this implementation like :-

- increased financial need

- Everyone won't be able to use the new technology like the elderly ones . It would a major difficulty for them as it will be sudden change for them to convert from mannual to digital which they haven't used so much and it increases the number of errors.

- Risk for breach of healthcare data

Pros of this implementation are :-

- accessible healthcare services

- affordable healthcare services

- able to provide more efficient care which are evidence based

- helps in early recovery and discharge

#. Socail media is one of the industrial sector which is always present and awake anytime . They get genuine and also fraud info from different areas including remote . They are a backbone in many sectors like polito , health care sector etc . Social media plays a very important role in giving a statistical data about the health of the population and patient care services provided by person public interviews and documentary on different healthcare services and it also collect from remote areas which are not reavhed by government .

#. Implementation of PHR will help in providing patient centred care because in this case the healthcare staff will able to get more time in providing evidence based care rather than spending time in writing reports and documentation manually .

#. Remote home monitoring by telecommunication will help the healthcare provider to provide their services by being the patient at home only . It helps the patient in many ways (pros ) :-

- no travel cost

- no tiredness

- healthcare services at door step

Cons :-

- not able to provide immediate life saving interventions

- it can only guide the patient

- patients have to access to nearby healthcare centers for administration of medications and fluids ,and most of the time these centers deny because they are not registered under them
