CARDENE (nicardipine hydrochloride)is a calcium ion influx inhibitors.Cardine premixed injection for intravenous administration contains 20mg of nicardipine hydrochloride per 200 mL (0.1mg/mL) in either dextrose or sodium chloride.

CARDENE premixed injection is available as a ready -to-use sterile,nonpyrogenic , clear,colourless to yellow iso -osmotic solutions for intravenous administration in a 200mLGALAXY container with 20mg (0.1 mg/mL) nicardipine hydrochloride in either dextrose or sodium chloride.

Nicardipine 10mg/mL solution for injection is indicated for the treatment of acute life threatening hypertension, particularly in the event of:

*Malignant arterial hypertension/Hypertensive encephalopathy

*Severe pre- eclampsia,when other intravenous antihypertensive agents are not recoommended or are contra indicated

Each vial(25 mg) must be diluted with 240 mL of compatible intravenous fluid ,resulting in 250 mL of solution at a concentration of 0.1 mg/mL.
