Explain from the above, why Benedict's reagent yields positive results, not only for aldoses but also for ketoses.

Benedict's reagent is basically used to identify the reducing sugars. Aldoses contains an aldehyde group, so they are reducing sugars but some ketoses are also reducing sugars. In the reaction of tautomerism, equillibrium exists between the aldoses and ketoses, therefore ketoses also give positive results. Also ketoses are converted to aldoses by base in the reagent therefore gives positive results.
