Answer #1

RB has a 28 day cycle and her ovulation occurs usually around day 14 and her chance of becoming pregnant is between 11 and 14 .

Menstrual cycle is controlled by hypothalamus and pitutary glands. Gonadotropin releasing hormone secreated by the hypothalamus stimulates the pitutary gland to produce follicle stimulating hormone and this hormone is responsible for egg production. pitutory gland also produce a hormone called leutinising hormone and helps in the egg maturation and also trigger ovulation and release of egg. Also hypothalamus and pitutary glands secreate hormones, which makes the uterenine lining to become thick and prepare for pregnancy.

Ovarian cycle we can see series of changes in the ovary. The follicles matures, ovum is released and corpus luteum develop. The ovarian cycle consist of follicular phase, ovulation and luteual phase

Follicular phase- In this phase the FSH stimulates the develpment of follicles. The lutenizing hormone and the follicle stimulating hormone stimulates ovulation and ovum is relesed from the ovary and moves to the fallopian tube.

Luteual phase- corpus luteum secreated from the pitutary gland forms on the ovary and stimulate progesterone which inturn makes the uterus ready for implantation. If implantation do not occured it results in menstruation.
