Gonadotropin releasing hormone secreated by the hypothalamus stimulates the pitutary gland to produce follicle stimulating hormone and this hormone is responsible for egg production. pitutory gland also produce a hormone called leutinising hormone and helps in the egg maturation and also trigger ovulation and release of egg.
