So, total combinations that can happen is :

choose plain = 1 way
choose 1 from 4 in 4C1 = 4 ways
choose any 2 from 4 in 4C2 = 6 ways
choose any 3 from 4 in 4C3 ways = 4 ways
choose any 4 from 4 in 4C4 ways = 1 ways

So, total ways different dressing can be made is: 1+4+6+4+1 = 16 ways
