Discuss why is there a concern about transmission of disease globally? What is so bad about flu? What have we learned from studying the 1918 flu? Who was mainly affected in both the 1918 flu and the bird flu (H1N1)?

As we know today people are crossing oceans within a small span of time.So while people are crossing the geographical boundaries then there is a high chance chance of spreading of infectious diseases to one place to other.

Flu is a infectious diseases which is the cause of several complications which may result in death.The complications include multiple organ failures and fatigue,runny nose,fever,cough,body pains etc.Flu is contagious and spread from person to person.

Nearly 50 million people died through out the world in1918 from flu.It is known as influenza pandemic 1918.We have learned from the incident :Prevention measures are undergoing by using vaccines and people are educated so that they can indentify the symptoms and treatment is available.But mostly people are encouraged to maintain cleaness.

Children,pregnant women and people who are older than 60 years and people who are suffering from chronic illness are mostly effected.
