[S2O82-] is constant

rate becomes 3 times

so, order of I- is 1

[I-] is constant

[S2O82-] becomes 3 times

rate becomes 3 times

so, order of S2O82- is 1

overall order = 1 + 1 = 2

Rate law is:

rate = k[I-][S2O82-]

Put values from 1st row of table in rate law

rate = k*[I-]*[S2O82-]

4.4*10^-2 = k*0.125*0.15

k = 2.3467 M-1.s-1

Answer: 2.35 M-1.s-1
