what is the relationship of ethics and sustainability? To be an ethical firm, does the firm need a sustainability program? why or why not?

Ethics means an intellectual discipline that attempts to distinguish right from wrong in human conduct. At the lowest denominator, ethics is about behavior, but more specifically for the organisation, the term ethics refers to the ability to predict and control employees behavior to ensure that companies values and business purpose are being me consistently .Ethics also says organisation and individuals must have an obligation to the public, the organisation and to the environment.

The proper use of business ethics in the management of a company makes it run all business operations in a manner that respects the company's stakeholders . In business there are 3 aspects o sustainability include social, economic, environmental. The addressing of these aspects depends on the management practice implemented by the organisation. And these aspects are necessary for an organisation if they want to succeed. As mentioned earlier sustainability is more about focused on environment. The companies that practice sustainability , preserving natural resources is priority.

To be an ethical firm, sustainability program is necessary. The growing notion of sustainability raises the question of organisations ethical and societal responsibilities .A sustainable society lives within the carrying capacity of its natural and social system. It has a system of rules and incentives that promote replenishing and limit depletion and pollution. A sustainable society builds upon the commitment of its members to conform to these rules voluntarily, and it enforces them when necessary.A proper sustainability program builds a strong protected environment and people which is commonly related to ethical cultures and ethical framework. Sustainability programs improves organisational culture and builds a good ethical framework.
