Consequentialist ethics stand on that the rightness or wrongness of an action subject to the consequences of those actions. Therefore, actions are not good or bad by themselves, but depending on their consequences. Motives are the causes and the consequences are the effect. Non-consequentialist ethics focuses on the actions are intrinsically good or bad by themselves. Their rightness or wrongness does not depend on their consequences. Hedonistic Utilitarianism is one of the major theories associated with consequentialism. The objection might be made to this theory was that there is more to life than pleasure, virtue, knowledge, and other things are important too. Utilitarianism requires that we consider everyone’s pleasure, not just our own. A British Philosopher named John Stuart Mill once quoted that there is more to life than physical pleasure. Pleasures of the “higher faculties” are of higher quality than physical pleasures. One of the major theories associated with Non-consequentialism is Natural Law Theory. There are two main objections both raised during the Enlightenment period. One of the argument against this theory is the theory’s assumption that moral principles are written in the laws of nature or by God. Modern science contradicts this assumption. The scientific perspective sees only cause and effect in the natural world such as morals and values, it claims, are inventions of the human mind.

Every action will have the consequences measured in 2ways time and scope, differentiating them is so difficult because each is intertwined. The question would be to define them

Time ( the answer which can be given) for any consequences to be judged it must be between the particular time for instance if u put a act on Sunday the consequences related to the affairs of that state would be good consequences on Monday and bad consequences on Tuesday..so there is no arbitrary time for selecting the good and the bad.

Scope of effects: for any consequences to be evaluated scope of effect to be limited.
