Ans) The federal government is the largest single payer of health care in the United States, accounting for more than a quarter of al U.S. spending on healthcare”. As a result of the federal government being such a larger reimburse for healthcare facilities and them cutting back the amount of reimbursement a facility gets, it is causing a lot of financial stress for facilities across the U.S. Some practices will turn patients away if they have a government insurance because the provider doesn’t want to deal with having to get money from the government and because they know that the reimbursement level is low.
