1,As a nurse, you can avoid lawsuits by always adhering to the code of conduct for nurses. You should also strictly follow the principles of nursing such as nonmaleficence and beneficence.Nurses should also execute phyusician's order. A nurse is also expected to follow all the institutional policies, organizational protocols while practicing nursing in a competent professional manner. A nurse should also be aware of the principle of accountability and responsibility. Any form of malpractice and negligence is avoided and always ensure patient safety at first. If you follow this you are safe from lawsuits, and in case if someone files cases against you if you have ensured the above you are immune to any punishments.
