Question

In 3 or 5 sentences, explain why you agree with the author's point of view, and what would be a counter argument to that?
I see the Affordable Care Act as an act of social justice. It provides healthcare to people who have lower incomes by making health insurance more affordable for a wider range of people. Obamacare also made prescription drugs more affordable. Coming from someone who is about to join the pharmacy industry, I think this is an important aspect because having an equal opportunity to get the medicines one needs is essential to maintain life One last aspect of Obamacare that I think is essential is that kids can stay on their parents insurance longer, until the age of 26. This is an example of eliminating a health disparity, because having health insurance should not depend on ones age. I also think this aspect of the ACA hits close to home for me because I am planning on attending graduate school for four more years after college, and if I were put on my own health insurance before I were to graduate I am not sure how I would pay for that. This is the case for many students planning on attending graduate school. Being able to stay on parents insurance for a longer time can allow the student to focus on their studies and prepare them more for the real world. One of the main counterarguments for the Affordable Care Act is that it has increased taxes on various companies and people. Obviously funding the Affordable Care Act does not come out of no where, and for the government to implement this plan they had to increase funds in some areas. These taxes were implemented most heavily on people with high incomes. People against Obamacare say that this is an unfair way to subsidize insurance for the poor. I can see where they are coming from because why raise taxes for the people who have worked for their high incomes and hand it over to cover insurance for the people who have less of an income. e the arguments for both sides of this debate, but after reading in depth about both sides of this issue I stand strong that the Affordable Care Act is in place for most people benefit. s

Answer #1

Affordable care act (ACA) provides health care to all age groups of people whose income is lower, and providing health insurance to the people of all ages, where I agree with the author because continuing further studies by depending on their father's insurance is a good idea to complete higher level of education, until children reach age of 26 years.Merits and demerits are there for the said argument. Depending on insurance for a life long time is not a smart option for the livelihood as it develops personal and financial crisis in the family. House hold utilities , children education and future planning can be made by the insurance which is available at affordable prices.

Therefore, Affordable care act is beneficial to those people who are in need for receiving financial support, purchasing of medicines, higher education, fulfilling of dreams it is useful.
