Meaning of Statute of Frauds is written laws that says certain kinds of contracts to be set out in writing in order for them to be enforceable.

These types of contracts usually include:

01. Contracts for the sale or transfer of an interest in land.

02. A contract that cannot be performed within one year of the making (in other words, a long-term contract like a mortgage).

03. A contract for the sale of goods valued at $500 or more(limit may vary in different state).

04. A contract to guarantee the debt or duty of another.

05. A contract of an executor or administrator to answer for a decedent's debt.

06. A contract made in consideration of marriage a prenuptial agreement.

In short many of business contracts is to be written in form. Because business person are so busy and it May possible to forget by him. And for enforcement of contact these should be in writing.
