Some of the best way to prevent the progression and mortality of CVD in different populations are

  • Creating awareness through health camps and health checkups
  • Regular and periodic health screening of older adults and high risk populations
  • Encouraging to follow a nutritious diet and exercise
  • Avoid alcohol and smoking because this has a direct effect on the function of the heart
  • Instruct patient to take medication regularly as directed and make doctor visit as per order

Ethnic background

People of South Asians and Africans have higher rate.The cultural beliefs and practices ,languages, willing for complementary medicine can affect the provider patient interaction

Socioeconomic status

The population low in the socioeconomic status hardly seek medical help in illness,This can restrict a patient in discussing about the type of treatment to be provided on the grounds of cost and insurance availability affecting the provider patient interaction

Educational level

The low educational level has seized the population from being aware and make necessary lifestyle changes and management to prevent CVD

Social prejudice has been greatly reduced in number but still it is prevalent in some part of the world which discriminates their patient from proper care by their healthcare provider.
