Answer #1

Ans)1) BMI for Children and Teens: Overweight is defined as a BMI at or above the 85th percentile and below the 95th percentile for children and teens of the same age and sex. Obesity is defined as a BMI at or above the 95th percentile for children and teens of the same age and sex.

2) Four ways to Assess an infant's readiness for solid foods:

- Your baby is at least 4 months of age.
- Your baby can sit upright and hold his head up straight.
- Your baby has the oral motor skills to handle solid foods.
- Your baby is interested in beginning and continuing to eat solids.

3) Sarcopenia literally means "lack of flesh." It's a condition of age-associated muscle degeneration that becomes more common in people over the age of 50.

- Sarcopenia, the loss of muscle mass and strength, becomes more common with age and can decrease lifespan and quality of life. Eating enough calories and high-quality protein can slow down the rate of muscle loss. Nevertheless, exercising is the most effective way to prevent and reverse sarcopenia.

4) Socioeconomic, psychological, ethnic, physiological, and pathological factors all influence dietary intake, interacting in a complex and inter- twining manner. For example, financial stress can lead to depression, which in turn adversely affects dietary intake.
