For example: Malaria, bed nets, and culture could play a negative role because people could use them for fishing instead of sleeping under them. In a low-SES community, populations would be more interested in food and less in malaria exposure.

One of the endemic disease in India that occured in the year 2018 is Nipah virus.

It is a condition where the zoonotic virus is transmitted to human from animals, contaminated food or directly between the people. The signs and symptoms here can vary from asymptomatic infection to acute respiratory illness to fatal encephalitis.

As known Nipah virus is transmitted through sick pigs and bats as well as by drinking raw date palm sap, hence instructing the people of the endemic areas to avoid using those untill the disease is subsided. But the culture of eating pigs in large amount in Karnataka had made it difficult to control the condition. Also they prefer eating more enjoyable than to prevent from disease.
