Prescription dose =25mg
Avilable dose =12.5 mg/5ml
Desired dose/ Dose in hand X V(volume of drug)=
25/12.5 X5 = 10ml to be given every 4 hours

Avilable lithium 150mg
Prescribed lithium 300mg
desired dose/dose in hand = 300mg/150mg = 2 capsules the nurse should be given every 8 hours.

Prescription dose = 150mg
Availble dose =50mg/5ml
