Answer #1

ANSWER.

5) Calculation of number of tablets required per dose.

         Ordered dose = 50 mg.

         Available dose = 25 mg/tablet.

Number of tablets required = 50/25

                                           = 2 tablets per dose.

6) Calculation of number of tablets per dose.

          Ordered dose = 20 mg.

          Available dose = 10 mg/tablet.

Number of tablet required = 20/10

                                             = 2 tablets per dose.

7) Calculation of number of tablets per dose.

Ordered dose = 200 mg divided equally every 12 hr.

                                 = 100 mg every 12 hr.

          Available dose = 25 mg.

Number of tablets required = Ordered dose/Available dose

                                                = 100/25

                                                = 4 tablets per dose.

8) Calculation of volume(ml) of drug required.

       Volume(ml) = Desired dose(D)/Dose in hand(H) * Quantity(Q).

   Here

       Desired dose(D) = 1200000 units.(1.2 million unit)

   Dose in hand(H) = 600000 units.

          Quantity(Q) = 1 ml.

As per above formula

    Volume(ml) of drug required = D/H * Q

                                                  = 1200000/600000

                                                  = 2 ml.
