Nursing is one of the oldest and most respected health care professions. Increased workload and job dissatisfaction are the two main issues affected by the current situation. Both high work load and job dissatisfaction can reduce quality of nursing care. One of the reasons for high workload include nursing staff shortage . It's the major problem even in some developed countries. It can be due to increasing age of health workers, increased rate of elderly require more nurses to care and raised stress level in the workplace. Thus the nurses not getting enough opportunities to build up their knowledge to improve their performance. However the nursing has updated with evidence based practices, it always gives a rationale for what we do. In addition, there are specialists to work with a wide range of competencies. Continuing and in-service education systems have developed to achieve a strong work force. On the other hand they are working hard to minimise the errors.
