A researcher wants to compare the effect of different exercises (running, swimming, and cycling, and walking). She recruited 100 participants who wish to lose weight. She measures their weight, matches those with similar weight into 25 blocks with four participants in each block. She randomly assigns those in the same block to one of the four exercise conditions. Participants are monitored to do the assigned exercise for 30 mins daily for a month. At the end of the month, she measures their weight again.
