Answer #1

Ordered Dobutamine 10mcg/kg/min

Patient's weight= 170 1bs= 170/2.2 kg= 77.27 kg

As per weight of the client required dose= 10 X 77.27 mcg= 772.7‬ mcg/min

=0.77 mg/min (As 1 mg= 1000mcg

Available Dobutamine= 250mg in 250ml D5W.

Means 1 mg/ml

rate of infusion in ml/hr=?

0.77 mg/min

1 mg in 1ml

0.77 mg in = 0.77 ml

hence 0.77ml/min

Then in ml/hr=  46.2 ml/hr
