Choose one of the articles from the assignment, and discuss the findings. Would you apply the evidence found to your practice? Explain your answer.
Translating research into practice is the final and most important step in the research process. Review information you found your nursing clinical issue and explain ways in which you would share the research-based evidence with your peers.
I chosen Quantitative balance and gait measurement in patients with frontotemporal dementia and Alzheimer diseases. The findings of this article were that balance and gait problems are more significant in the patient with FTD and AD in comparison with the normal aging subjects. They also concluded that gait abnormalities are more significant in patients with FTD than patients with the AD. In opposition, postural stability abnormalities are more significant in patients with the AD than FTD patients. I won’t apply the evidence found in my practice because the results of this pilot study were based in a small sample, the findings of this study are not a guarantee to establish a statistical foundation, in addition, pilot studies assess the feasibility of a study.
Parental noncompliance with immunizations is a public health concern that has increased during the past years. With the resurgence of disease like measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) that were almost eradicated with the mandated childhood immunization schedule, there is a need to address the parent’s concerns in order to reduce the number of unimmunized patients. Concerns regarding the relation between MMR and the risk for ASD have been identified as one of the major reasons for vaccine rejection. A good design patient education focuses on those concerns will reduce vaccine misperceptions and increase vaccination rates for MMR. To translate my research into practice the first step is to identify an effective message in vaccination promotion that I can test on the pediatric clinic. According to Brendan et al. (2014) “None of the pro-vaccine messages created by public health authorities increased intent to vaccinate with MMR”. With this in mind, the presentation to my peers will be a focus on what has been effective on pro-vaccine messages, furthermore, I will present how the education intervention can be implemented in the practice to accomplish the objective. At the beginning of my research I thought that my focus should be the implementation of education to increase the immunization rate, however, according to the evidence-based practice this implementation has already been tested with not much success. At this point I understood that my research should be focusing primary on the effectiveness of the message to increase the immunization rate.

Week 7: Applying and Sharing Evidence to Practice 1 1 unread reply. 1 1 reply. This week's graded discussion topic relates to the following Course Outcomes (COs). CO1 Examine the sources of evidence that contribute to professional nursing practice. (PO 7) CO2 Apply research principles to the interpretation of the content of published research studies. (POs 4 and 8) CO4 Evaluate published nursing research for credibility and lab significance related to evidence-based practice. (POs 4 and 8) CO5 Recognize the...
The Assignment Application and implications for practice come from the interpretation of meaning from research findings. Communicating and using research evidence is an expectation of a BSN graduate. Select and describe one of the conclusions from the required article from the Week 6 assignment that you found interesting and applicable to practice. Describe how you would apply the evidence to improve nursing practice. Explain your answer. Discuss ways you would disseminate research-based evidence; how would you share with your peers?...
Discuss ways you would disseminate research-based evidence; how would you share with your peers? Include your thoughts on why it is important for you to be involved in communicating and applying nursing research evidence.

rofessional nurses rely on research findings to inform practice decisions; they use critical thinking to apply research directly to specific patient care situations. Think about an independent nursing practice problem you care passionately about and would be interested in searching for evidence. *For the below questions, medical/doctor/physician problems will not be used, for example, treatments such as medications or diagnostics such as cardiac catherizations. Also, broad practice problems such as staffing issues, workforce issues, or patient ratios will not be...
Examine the sources of evidence that contribute to professional nursing practice. Apply research principles to the interpretation of the content of published research studies. Reflect on your practice, and identify a significant nursing clinical issue or change project that you would like to search for evidence in online sources. Formulate searchable, clinical questions in the PICO(T) format for your nursing clinical issue. Next, review the guidelines for the PICOT Assignment due Week 3. Use your PICOT elements to search for...
Reflect on your learning about Quantitative and Qualitative research; share two ways that helped you understand how they are different. Choose one category of study design that you found interesting and describe; include what you learned about the design and how you believe it can help study nursing problems. Refer back to your clinical nursing priority problem and evidence you located for your week 3 assignment: • The nursing-evidenced practice (NEBP) committee has requested for you to make a recommendation...

This week we learned how research designs are different and help us to objectively study nursing problems; the key is to decide which type of research and design will serve the purpose or intent to find a solution. After completing Week 4 readings and lesson, answer the following: Reflect on your learning about Quantitative and Qualitative research; share two ways that helped you understand how they are different. Choose one category of study design that you found interesting and describe;...
