Observational studies refers to a technique where observers observe data from sample to a population.It means understanding the impact of risk factor or other factors without changing the characteristics of actual data.It involves treatment of a particular experiment on a subject.

Econometrics is the use of statistical tools in order to give relationships between economic data.It provides tools to gather useful economic information from the available data.Observational studies helps in understanding economics theory with real world data and it's application all around.

Statistics involves lot of data collection and there useful analysis.It involves analysis of sample from data collection and it's application on population.In statistics based on sample researchers make obesrvations about whole data.In observational study on statistics researchers have no control over the actual data they simply observe data and record their observations based on such data.
