a.It is better to use both the bottles (1 tablet from 5mg bottle and 1 tablet fro 10mg bottle) because breaking the tablet can release the drug more vastly into the blood stream

b.The child has to be given 2 tanker in whole (one 5mg+one 10mg to get the dose of 15mg)

Frequency:6 hourly (4 times a day)

Weight:12kg

Pediatric dose parameter:6_7.5mg/kg/day

So if the child weighs 12kg and if recommended pediatric dose is 6mg/kg /day

(When 1kg=6mg

Then 12kg=??mg)

Cross multiply and divide

=12×6÷1

=72mg/day

Similarly for 7mg/kg/day

=12×7.5÷1

=90mg/day

The recommended pediatric dise is 72mg to 90mg/day in 3 to 4 divided doses

a.if it is 15mg every 6 hourly (i.e., 4 times a day)

=15×4

=60

Ans:60mg per day

b.The child will have a dose parameter of 72mg to 90mg of Nebicin per day
