acute diseased conditions are sudden and severe. for example an asthma attack or fracture.

chronic diseased conditions are those which takes a very long time to appear. for example - osteoporosis.

What stressors contribute to worsening the behavioral disorder?

mainly chronic stresses contribute to worsening behavioral disorder like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, personality changes, etc.

What coping/behavioral strategies help the resident to cope with the disorder?

  • focus on feelings rather than words.
  • keeping things simple
  • reassure a person that he/she is safe
  • don't argue
  • use humor
  • try for music and dancing.
