Applied technology is the process of application of knowledge and skill utilizes in device, medicine, procedure and health care system rendering care to achieve the optimum health and alleviate health problem.

Health information is related to the details of patient such medical and surgical history, symptoms, lab result, treatment and everything in the course of disease. Application of information technology for storing, retrieving and sending these type of health information referred as health information technology.

Innovation of applied technology improving the quality of life and positive health outcome. Medical technology such minimally invasive surgery, equipment for the diagnostic purpose reduce the burden if the patient. It help better treatment in best time. It is used in clinical procedure device and equipment applied to maintenance, restoration and promotion of health.

Health care technology used at every level of health care such as prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease. It also increase patient safety, reduce errors and maintain a rapport with patient and health care system. It is cost effective. It reduce the work load of health care worker snd increase the productivity in erms of outcome of the patient. It reduce morbidity and mortality of patient.

The ultimate aim of health care is prevention and promotion of health and treatment of illness with easily access to health service to all people irrespective of their individual difference. Applied technology is used to prevent and treatment of disease and promotion if health. Thus applied technology is most relevant today.
