1a) Quality management system is a collection of business processes focused on consistently meeting customer requirements and enhancing their satisfaction.

Defining quality - means developing statements regarding the inputs ,process and outcomes standard that the healthcare delivery system must meet in order for its population to achieve optimum health gain .

Measuring quality - consists of quantifying the current level of compliance with expected standards .

1b) Structure process outcome is defined as :-

- structure is defined as the resources used in the provision of care and the facilities under which care is provided.

- process refers to the delivery of care

- outcome implies the end result of the care

Structure process outcome model defines quality as the factor which is visible in the outcome on provision of proper systematic care to the patient's and measures the quality of healthcare on the basis of structure ,process and outcome

2 . The structure process outcome is the model that supports the framework of evidence based medicine in defining and measuring quality outcome because it acts as a well functioned oiled machinary that involves systematic steps to be followed to the attain quality outcome .

3.A health care organization can ensure that the healthcare services are providing value to th paient by conducting surveys from the patients after receiving treatment or at the time of discharge. This surveillance will help to evaluate the positive and negative feedback and do further assessment and changes in the services provided to the patient.

Example- fill a feedback form from the patient and family members after they get discharged from the hospital in which the questions regarding patients satisfaction about the services are asked and do the assessment after a certain number of data collection .
