Physician and NP ( nurse practitioner) share many job functions like diagnosing,treating etc..but when Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement returns comes rates for nurses are below than average..Medicare and Medicaid government managed programs decide Physician reimbursement as per fee schedule...Medicare is a federally program and state program rates vary depends on the state..

For nurse practitioner reimbursement rates differ from 75% to 100% depends upon the state..some state providing 100% reimbursement for NP..some states when doctors earn more amount reimbursement revenue than NP..
