Patient -centered care concept recognize the patient as the source of control and full partner in providing compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for patients preferences ,values and needs.It focus on the provision of caring and compassionate,culturally sensitive care that addresses clients psychological,sociological ,spiritual and cultural neds,preferences and values.The 6 dimensions of Patient-centere care are Respect values,preferences and needs,collaboration and team work,Communication,physical comfort,spiritual and emotioal support and involve family and friends.The principles of Patient-centered are Respect,Co-ordination,Communication,comfort,support,involvement,transitions and access.it is an approach to the planning,delivery and evaluation of health care that is grounded in mutually beneficial partnerships among patients ,families and health care practicioners.it is founded on the understanding that the patient/fam,ily plays a vital role in ensuring the health and well being of patients of all ages.The ultimate goal of it is to create partnerships among health care practicioners,patients/families that will lead to the best outcomes and enhance the quality and safety of health care.

Patient -empowerment is based on the idea that patients have the right to make their own choices about their health care.it is a process that helps people gain control over their own lives and increases their capacity to act on issues that they themselves define as important.The important aspects pf empowerment include self-efficacy,self-awareness,confidence,coping skills and health literacy.Patient-empowerment may not only differ between different different demographics,but also by different conditions.By increasing the role of patients,health care providers should become more responsive to patients needs and preferences and deliver better quality care
