Answer #1

Answer:

Step 1:

Option(a) and (b) are correct

a. the particles scatter incoming uv light

b.the particles absorb incoming uv light

Step 2: Explanation

There are two ways by which an active ingredient in sunscreen can protect the skin from harmful incoming UV exposure

i.e  Either by blocking the rays physically, or by absorbing them chemically.

Generally  zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, is more effective, because it reflects and scatters the UV radiation, preventing damage it could do to your skin.
