There are three main criterias for evaluating a country’s healthcare system :
1. Effectiveness - effectiveness of a healthcare system can be evaluated by improvement in health of the country’s populations through medical and non medical services and facilities.
2. Efficiency - efficiency of healthcare system is measured by low cost services provided by the system, maximum health achieved and benefits gained through improved quality of health.
3. Equity - equity in healthcare is defined by distribution of health services across the population equally without any discrimination based on culture, community, gender and socio economic status. It is minimizing the disparities in healthcare.
