Weariness or extreme fatigue happens to nurses due to emotional factors like restlessness, irritability & physical factors like sleep disturbances, digestion problems & work related stresses like lack of joyfulness or satisfaction in job, etc. When the capacity of understanding decrease in nurses because of prolonged exposure to patients suffering leads to weariness.
Jean watson's theory of human caring can be used to guide a concept analysis of empathy weariness , as this theory focusses on human caring and its positive potential on both the patient and caregiver(nurses). This theory also tells about the importance of communication and relationship between a patient and a caregiver which helps in decreasing the weariness happening to nurses.
