The law of Bergonie and Tribondeu was one of the important discovery in Radiology .It was founded by two Rsfiobiologist inbthe year 1906. This law clearly explains the following

  • Young cells,stem cells,immature cells are radiosensitive
  • High metabolic rate increases radiosensitivity
  • Low metabolic rate decreases radiosensitivity
  • When the proliferation if the cells are high the radiosensitivity are also high
  • It us directly proportion yo the reproductive activity of the cells.
  • Bone,Liver, Kidney,Muscle ,Cartilage,Nervous tissue are radioresistant
  • Terminal cells,Lymphoid tissues, basal cells,Hematopoietic tissues,epithelium of GI tract ,gonads are radiosensitive
  • Pregnant mothers, children foetus are radiosensitive
