Density of Final Product = 0.962 g/Cm3

Volume required to be prepared = 1 mL

mass = Density x volume

Mass = 0.962 x 1 = 0.962 g

No, of moles = weight in gram/molecular weight

No of moles = 0.962/230.35 = 0.00417 moles

Assuming 100 % Yield we need to generate 4.17 millimoles.

To generate 4.17 millimoles of final product, we need 4.17 mmoles of Geraniol and Phenyl magnesium bromide each

Molecular weight of Geranial =152.24

Weight required (Geranial) = no. of millimoles x molecular weight = 4.17 x 152.24 = 624.18 mg = 0.624 g

Weight Required (Phenyl magnesium Bromide) = 4.17 x 181.31 = 756.06 mg = 0.756 g
