Culture : culture is a social behaviour and norms found in human societies .culture is considered a central

Concept in anthropology ,encompassing the range of phenomena that are transmitted through social learning in human societies .

The influence of culture on health is vast. Affect perceptions of health ,illness and death.,belief about causes of disease ,approaches to health promotion ,how illness and pain are experienced and expressed ,where patient seek help and types of treatment patient prefer.

Ex : some cultures , after the birth of the baby they wont give the colostrum as a breast feed ,they believe it causes harm to baby when they given to baby

But actually colostrum is very much essential for growth and development of baby and it has all nutrients . So babies who are not feed colostrum they may get chance to illness frequently .

2) religion : religion have always been an essential component of health and well being .

Having religious belief may have both positive and negative impacts on health and morbidity.

Here spirituality also plays important role .

Who believe their religion strictly and have positive health .

It also avoid the mental disorders of person.

3) standard of living : the standard of living includes factors such as income , quality and availability of employment ,class disparity ,poverty rate ,quality and affordability of housing ,hours of work required to purchase necessities ,gross domestic product ,inflation rate ,amount of leisure time every year etc .it is important determinants of wellbeing or happiness.

Ex : who are having high living standards generally has optimum level of health and well being ,comfort etc .

Who are having poor living standards may have illness frequently

If We take the poor people main illness is malnutrition .they wont have money to eat sufficient diet ,so they may face many illnesses.

4) support system : social support helps people to cope better with stress . Stress has been shown to have serious health consequences ranging from reduced immunity to increased risk of heart diseases.

Research has proved that having a support system has many positive benefits ,such as higher level of well being ,better coping skills and a longer and healthier life , studies have also shown that social support can reduce depression and anxiety .

Ex : if a person dont have social support ,he may have negative effects of health such as depression and anxity .some times antisocial activities also.

5) genetic influence :

Changes in genes may have influence on health of people

Ex : if parent of offspring is suffered with breast cancer , the offsping have 50% chance to get the BRCA genes .

Many diseases have influence on genetic suceptibility such as diabetes , cancer ,heart disease , some hemolytic diseases etc .

If the parent have high cognitive levels ,offspring may get the high cognitive levels ,if parent have mental problems and offsprings also have a chance to get disease and it is influence on other maby factors .
