Answer #1

a. A response that solves the problem without teaching autonomy or self-discipline is to take away the broom from them. Simply take out the broom to solve the problem without giving a proper reason.

b. A response that teaches both Markos and Riley about autonomy and self-discipline is to describe the problem in detail to better understand the exact situation. This will help to resolve the problem without hitting them with each other. The responder should ask Markos to think about how Riley felt badly after the hitting. Then the responder should ask Riley, what he will do if someone took out his thing without permission. Then the responder should teach the better way of asking to get a thing and the discipline of waiting for a time until his turns come. Using better words and better approach will improve the autonomy and self-discipline.
