1- The mixing of any to substance follow the rule of Like dissolve like rule. i.e If both the compounds are polar or both of them are non-polar then they are miscible. On the other hand if one of them is polar and another non-polar, then they are not miscible.

Now based on the above concept

Acetone (H3C-CO-CH3)

= Polar

Chloroform (CHCl3)

= Almost non-polar

Diethyl ether (H5C2-O-C2H5)

=Non- Polar

Ethyl acetate (H3C-CO-O-C2H5)

= Polar

Methylene chloride (CH2Cl2)

= polar

Water (H-O-H) = Polar Miscible Imiscible Imiscible less miscible immiscible- Because the H-atom of CH2Cl2 barely forms H-bond with water
Methylene chloride (CH2Cl2) = Polar Miscible Imiscible Imiscible less miscible
Ethyl acetate (H3C-CO-O-C2H5) = Polar Miscible Miscible- Because chloroform is better soluble in organic solvents Imiscible
Diethyl ether (H5C2-O-C2H5) = Non-polar Imiscible Miscible
