Answer #1

Solution:

Customer-Response Time is the period between placement of order by customer and the delivery of the goods or services by customer.

Calculation of Total Customer-Response Time
Particulars No. of Days
Order received by manufacturing department 10
Order is put into production (15-10) 5
Processing/ Manufacturing time 20
Shipping Time 10
Total 45

Total Customer-Response Time is 45 Days.

Note:

1) Order is put into production after 15 days from the date of order received from customer. Those 15 days includes 10 days of time taken to place order with manufacturing department. i.e., time for put into production is 15 Days - 10 Days= 5 Days.

2) No information is provided about when the customer received the product . so we are considering shipping time includes time taken to reach the product to customer.
