Project planning and scheduling includes six steps which are planning a schedule,defining the activities, sequencing the activities, estimating the resources required, estimation of time required and preparing the schedule. WBS which stands for work break down structure helps in planning the schedule and breaking down the activities and assigning them to various teams in an order. This is very important for proper distribution of the project and efficient utilization of the available time. A network diagram helps in planning the schedule and the resources required at each step . This leads to the development of the schedule with proper time and resources planned. Once the work is assigned and the resources are arranged the actual plan to execute the project is initiated.
