While reading a journal article you find a reference to a periodontal disease called localized juvenile periodontitis (LJP). since this is not a disease category in the currently accepted disease classification system, how does this terminology relate to modern periodontal diagnosis?

Answer: Periodontal disease is a set of infections of the structures around the teeth which include the gums, the alveolar bone, the cementum that covers the root, the periodontal ligament. In the earliest stage of periodontal disease, gingivitis, the infection affects only the gums. In this inflammation occurs in the gum and periodontal tissues surrounding the teeth. It caused spaces between the tooth and gums. To avoid this kind of problem one should always sure about the dental health. Brushing teeth with gentle bristle will help in cleaning the teeth as gum diseases can be easily prevented by daily thorough plaque removal.
