1) Pharmacokinetics is a branch of pharmacology concerned with the drug metabolism inside the body whereas Pharmacodynamics refers to the reaction or effects/response of drugs in the body. Pharmacokinetics involves the phases of absorption,distribution, bioavailability, metabolism of the drug and the excretion of drug end product from the body. In pharmacokinetics the drug administered enters into the systemic circulation and from there it enters into tissues to initiate the efficacy of the drug,in pharmacodynamics the drug concentration acts at the site of action, finally excretion of drugs takes place.

2) Complementary medicines are traditional/ alternative ways of healing diseases. It includes homeopathy, Acupressure, Acupuncture, Naturopathy, Ayurveda, Yoga, siddha. According to patients point of view CAM is considered as a treatment modality without usage of allopathic medicine. Treatments are done using special diet, and treating body,mind and spirit. CAM focuses on reducing side effects and make patient to feel positive, also it improves immune system.

3) Drug abuse refers to periodical consumption of harmful or illegal drugs that can results in harmful effects. ex) Opioid abuse. Opioids are drugs legally used by the health care providers for their patients to treat chronic pain secondary to cancer, postoperative period, psychiatric illness. Opioid abuse is starts as a experimentation by initiating voluntary use of drugs without doctor guidance.
