1 it is similar to that of the one step method. But in this method blood pressure is taken by feeling the brachial artery and using a stethoscope.it is used to estimate the systolic pressure and avoid missing systolic due to an auscultatory gap.

2 It is the most accurate method.if the patient is having bloodpressure issues this is one of the most reliable method.

3 Place the patient in a sitting or lying position with arm at heart level.Turn the patients arm so palms are up and expose the upper arm.Thent the nurse palpate brachial pulse distal to cuff with fingertips while inflating cuff rapidly.Deflate cuff and wait 30 seconds to full minute.Place stethoscope earpiece in ears, relocate brachial or popliteal artery and place diaphragm of stehoscope over it.Close valve of pressure bulb until tight .Quickly inflate to 30 mm Hg above palpated systolic pressure.Slowly release pressure bulb valve and allow needle of manometer to fall at rate of 2-3 mmHg /sec.Note Korotkoff sounds. Then deflate the cuff and  tell the patient the reading and document
