Discuss how each example affects how the nurse provides education to the client:

1. Number of learners: single person, patient and significant other/family, community;

2. Education levels: low literacy, lack of understanding of medical terms, too ill- or well-informed patients;

3. Purpose of education: problem-oriented, future-oriented, knowledge or behavior-changing;

4. Internet & Health Education: Online health information, older adults and use of the internet

1. Teaching single person :

the nurse imparts enough knowledge regarding various aspects in community.dealing with a single person in regards to the health status of the person,finding out what is the problem or diagnose the problem.then planning accordingly to provide enough information and knowledge regarding his or her condition.

for example:

teaching on personal hygiene:

the nurse talks about the importance of Hygiene and good habits are commonly understood as prevention methods against infection. Hygiene is the maintenance of health and healthy living. Hygiene involves healthy diet, cleanliness, and mental health. Teachings include  health practices such as washing the hair once a week, bathing every day, brushing the teeth after every meal and at bed time, and cleaning the clothes.washing hands: use of Soap and water are essential for keeping the skin clean. A mild soap or hand wash  will do the job adequately. Use a bath sponge for scrubbing but do not use abrasive material. Wash off well after soaping. Drying with a clean towel is very important. Avoid sharing soaps and towels.

2.educating a group of low literacy:

the nurse provides education regarding different aspects by talking in their regional language, showing flash cards, giving reasons and explanation of things in lay mans language in a way they can understand.

example: awareness of STD ( sexually transmitted diseases):

nurse creates an awareness about having safe sex and use of condoms, distribution of condoms for free by government is encouraged. Family planning, giving them pros and cons on having more children. Encouraging to maintaining a single partner.Encourage  and stress on what patients can do to prevent reinfection. This includes providing information on safer sex and condom use, and may require more in-depth counselling.Encourage patients to seek treatment from their clinic or doctor. Discourage self-medication or getting medication from over the counter drugs.

3. Purpose of education:

to help a community develop in-depth knowledge in regards to health and various diseases prevention.teaching and educating them about prevention is better than cure.the nurse in a community examines on Some cultures having customs that affect the care they wish to receive. Nurses working with these cultures must build relationships and gain trust in these communities. It allows them to advocate for the community to ensure respect for their beliefs.they work on future problems and encourage the community to seek for help and knowledge from their local government issued facilities and health care services.making them aware of things available near them n their location.Nurses with similar cultural backgrounds to the communities they serve know how to respect mores and communicate more effectively.

4. Internet and health education:

the use of internet is vast in today’s community. Helping them find nearby health care services or enquiring about their health care issues. The nurse can help the community educate on online information by demonstrating them using computers and other skills to improve their system of online health care. health-related processes stand to be reshaped by the Internet. In clinical settings, the Internet enables care providers to gain rapid access to information that can aid in the diagnosis of health conditions or the development of suitable treatment plans. It can also allow care providers to consult with each other electronically to discuss treatment plans or operative procedures. At the same time, the Internet supports a shift toward more patient-centered care, enabling consumers to gather health-related information themselves; to communicate with care providers, health plan administrators, and other consumers electronically; and even to receive care in the home. The Internet can also support numerous health-related activities beyond the direct provision of care. By supporting financial and administrative transactions, public health surveillance, professional education, and biomedical research, the Internet can streamline the administrative overhead associated with health care, improve the health of the nation's population, better train health care providers, and lead to new insights into the nature of their Disease.
